The SV 20/400 from the METRUS SV series is a safety valve test bench designed for set pressure adjustment and leak testing of safety valves and flanged valves up to DN 400 (16”). The system has been specifically developed for applications involving larger valve sizes and extended diameter ranges.
Testing large safety valves requires robust clamping technology, controlled pressure regulation, and repeatable test conditions. The SV 20/400 features a robust clamping system with adjustable clamping claws, ensuring secure positioning even for larger valves.
The system operates with compressed air / nitrogen or optionally water. Depending on configuration, pressure testing up to 600 bar is possible. Pressure regulation is performed via METRUS precision needle valves, ensuring accurate and stable pressure control.
Parallel quick-connect gauge ports additionally allow the use of reference gauges or pressure sensors for advanced measurement applications.
An integrated bubble counter supports visual leak detection during testing and ensures reliable sealing evaluation.
As part of the METRUS safety valve test bench series, this system is designed for industrial environments requiring high accuracy, operational safety, and repeatable testing procedures.
For more compact applications and safety valves up to DN 200, the SV 20/200 is also available within the same platform.
