High-pressure air up to 580 bar – without an electrical power supply

The METRUS HPB 580 high-pressure compressor is designed to generate and deliver high-pressure air at pressures of up to 580 bar. It provides a high-pressure air source for connected equipment and test specimens where high, controllable pressure is required.

Pressure is generated by a two-stage, single-acting pressure intensifier manufactured in-house by METRUS. The intensifier increases the inlet pressure at a ratio of 1:83. The generated high-pressure air is stored in an integrated 4-litre pressure vessel and is available for controlled delivery.

Operation is managed via needle valves for pressure supply and pressure release. Separate pressure gauges indicate the available cylinder pressure and the regulated output pressure. Thanks to its pneumatic drive, the HPB 580 requires no electrical power and is designed for low-maintenance operation.

The HPB 580 complies with the Pressure Equipment Directive 2014/68/EU (PED) and the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC. The PED conformity assessment includes EU type examination under Module B and product verification under Module F by TÜV Rheinland.
