External Test Adapter for Oversized Valves

The METRUS external test adapter enables testing of oversized valves that cannot be clamped into a standard valve test bench.

Since very large nominal diameters are typically tested only occasionally, investing in a dedicated large test bench is often not economically viable. Instead, the test bench should be designed for the most frequently used valve sizes (around 80%).

For rare oversized testing applications, the external test adapter provides a flexible and cost-efficient solution.

Full Use of Existing Test Bench Functions

The adapter is mounted directly into the clamping unit of the test bench and allows connection to an externally positioned, blind-flanged valve.

Using two high-pressure hoses, the valve is connected to the test bench, enabling full use of existing functions:

• Filling
• Evacuation
• High-pressure testing

Cost-Effective Solution for Special Valve Sizes

With the external test adapter, there is no need for additional large-scale test benches. This results in:

• Lower investment costs
• Reduced space requirements
• Efficient handling of special testing tasks

At the same time, full functionality of the existing test bench is maintained.
