Gauge Turret

Recommended when changing gauges more often than once per hour

Each test should be carried out using a suitable gauge range. Within the service and maintenance environment as well within single valve production permanent gauge exchange is a time consuming consequence. Even the use of METRUS gauge quick connections can not eliminate the consequential loss of performance.

The gauge turret offers two parallel gauge connections. The one in its center is used for the gauge with highest range and it is permanently connected to the pressure system. A second one connects one of the turret with its four gauge slots plus a blind plug. To change the gauge range, the user unlocks the turret with the system being free of pressure and turns the disk until the required gauge is in the front position – done!

One of the four gauge slots is fitted with METRUS gauge quick connection to enable easy and tool free mounting of a gauge with a special range or an alternative sensor.

Compared to the multi gauge panel solutions used widely within the test bench business branch, a gauge turret offers a number of advantages:

1)  Free choice of gauges – any common gauge with a BSP ½” may be used along with the gauge turret.

2)  Fast mounting and dismounting – Gauges require an annual calibration making it necessary to dismount them from the test bench. In case of a gauge turret, no gauge has to be disassembled from a front panel or disconnected from pressure piping, significantly reducing the required work

3)  100% protection of non-used gauges – gauges not in use are completely disconnected from the pressure system. Especially when testing with water gauge protection valves tend to get dirty and to cease operation, causing the connected gauges to be damaged by overpressure.
